It looks like the only threat in the bottom third of the order is the pitcher, but that's September-October ball every year it seems with the Reds.

Cubbies can start hoisting the flag. No way that lineup gets to Zambrano.

Ellison starting EVERY DAY makes me want to weep...

I guess there isn't much else, is there?

Can Cantu play the outfield? I would rather have his bat in there, especially against the Cubbies.

I asked that question the other night and pedro and I finally agreed on something--that he couldn't be any worse than anyone else out there and secondly, he might be a threat to get a timely hit.

    I'd rather try it.

They could just put Votto in LF and Cantu at 1B like last night. Hopper, Ellison, and Coats may just be the most punchless outfield I've seen in a long while.

I've been back and forth on Dunn this season....keep him, trade him, keep him, trade him.

This is evidence what a lineup can look like without him or Griffey

I've never budged on Dunn. I've always felt they should keep him and try to sign him long-term. I'm only advocating Votto in LF right now because of how pitiful the alternatives are.

He can't play the IF, why not throw him out there?

BTW, this team doesn't need Dunn. Having him out of the lineup doesn't put a dent in this offense.

It's simple, Jorge obviously can't play the outfield.

Dunn's not just the engine of the offense--he's the chassis, the frame, the windows, the seats, the headlights, the radiator; this squad is the Carl's Jr. balls you put on the antenna.
