That is honestly the dumbest play I have seen in my life. With 14 seconds, no timeouts and in easy FG range, he tries to run for three yards. Wow. That is easily the dumbest move by a QB that I have seen in my life. Tedford threw his headset to the ground in disbelief.
Riley played a heckuva game to be a freshman (completed 59% of his passes for 294 and 2 TD's) but I still can't understand what was going through his head at the time.
BTW, with Cincinnati's loss, we are now down to just five undefeated teams left. Ohio State, Boston College, South Florida, Arizona State, and Hawaii.
