Tech question: Video card and LCD tv's

    Hello everyone,

I'm having a bit of trouble with my computer and a new LCD tv. I have an ATI radeon 9250 and have been using it successfully via VGA on a 20inch magnavox lcd tv. i've had no issues at all.

Yesterday, I bought a 32" Insignia from Best Buy for a new computer monitor. It has a vga input, and when I connected the computer, it will boot up fine, but as soon as it gets to the window's boot, I lose signal.

I'm not even really sure where to start. I've tried a bunch of little things, but I think i just need to stop and start fresh.

Anyone have any clues? Any ideas where to start?

    Thanks.

Check your resolution settings in Windows via the other monitor. Sounds like your resolution is set to something the new TV won't display.
