Dunn's going to have his best year yet. I predict a homerun title from him this year.

According to the boys, that should have been an out at the plate.

    Or a lineup. Close enough.

    Freel cf
    Castro ss
    Griffey rf
    Phillips 2b
    Dunn lf
    Encarnacion 3b
    A. Phillips 1b
    Valentin c
    Hanigan dh

Here is how the guys are on the list for today:
    Harang
    Maloney
    Burton
    Coffey
    Brower
    Majewski
    Roenicke
I don't want to gripe, but there really isn't a reason for Jay Bruce to not be playing just about everyday in ST - even if he's just the DH. Votto too, but Bruce especially.

Bucs score another run. 3-2 Reds still in the second. Getting to Harang at the moment. Apparently a bad call at the plate on the first run.

My first game of the "season". So refreshing. Spring is here!

I'm anxious to see how Maloney does.

Bad start by Maloney. Walk followed by a RBI double.

Top 3: Matt Maloney on the hill for the Redlegs. Chris Dickerson in center for Freel. Walk. Double to right. 5-3. If the Pirates are trying to test Juan Castro's elbow, they're doing a good job. Another short dribbler in the hole and Castro makes the play and APhillips gets the throw for the first out. McCutchen is on third. LaRoche hits one to the track in center, scoring McCutchen. 5-4. Nice broken bat on Nady for Maloney. In on the hands, the ball was popped up too short for an out, but a tough pitch. And he came back inside and missed, going full. Bloop single for Nady. Bautista jammed and pops one up foul, and, well, then lets out a louder F bomb. Reds 5, Pirates 4

It will be interesting to see how Maloney does. He seems like he has gotten some rave reviews this spring. May be someone to come up later in the year to help out.
Moskos was their #1 pick last year, IIRC.

    EDIT: I did remember correctly:

Background: Pittsburgh created quite a stir by selecting Moskos with the fourth overall pick in the 2007 draft, passing up Georgia Tech catcher Matt Wieters because of his price tag. Then-GM Dave Littlefield caused more outrage when he announced Moskos, who signed for $2.475 million, would be a reliever. Clemson moved him into its rotation during the spring and several clubs believed he has the pitches to start as a pro.

First outing, I'm not too worried about it. Harang was far from good too.

    Pelland in.

Tyler Pelland in to relieve Maloney. A sac bunt followed by a sac fly tie the game at 5.
