Nice catch by Corey. If he had not hesitated he would have caught it standing.

The guy who managed the Yankees to like four billion World Championships has Pierre batting leadoff.

I don't like him as a player, but at least Pierre has a respectable .361 OBP this year and .348 for his career compared to Patterson's sub .300 OBP.

Pierre has a .361 OBP and 17 SBs already this year.

You could do a lot worse then that.

IMO that's a pretty good defense...if you replaced Griffey with Bruce, it would be average to above average defensively at every position. The hitting is another story.
Chavez Ravine is so big Belisle may be able to keep them in the yard.

This could be a long evening for the Redlegs.

I was under the impression he is currently at the game posting from his phone/PDA. I was at the Reds game on Sunday, and I checked the RedsZone gamethread a couple of times on my phone. I was tempted to put in my input while at the game, but I decided against it:

4 Ks just 30 pitches for Chad. He'll go 7 at this pace unless they start making him work.

Ya never know. I am sure many Dodgers fans felt that way about their team last night after the first three innings. But we (REDS fans) have been there, done that many times this year already. Ugh!

Yea, Billingsley is pitching much better than Penny at the moment. Reds will need to manufacture some runs and play solid defense. They can do it, but WILL they?
