I respectfully disagree.
Giambi hit the ball, Hopper didn't move.
The ball left the IF, Hopper still hadn't moved.
Hopper didn't move until the ball was well in the OF, and slicing away from him towards the line. I don't know if he lost it in the air or what, but he didn't react well to the ball at all. The fact that Hopper is fast is the only reason he looked close to "making the play".
Hopper is a butcher in LF. He has horrible instincts, doesn't read the ball well at all, and takes horrible routes. I'm not saying Dunn catches that ball, but there's definitely LFers in the game that don't get a ridiculously horrible jump and catch the ball of Giambi's bat.
If I'm going to get the same D in LF from Dunn or Hopper, I'd much rather Dunn's bat.
