I meant TONIGHT. Overall, yeah, he's far from a starter IMO. A decent long man out of the pen...sure. Starter, nope. But until this inning, he's been pretty darned good. Had Dusty pulled him after the post HR walk, this inning could've been well under control.....as I speak...groundrule double....4-1 Bucs.

Here's a second guess. A lefty should have pitched to the lefty hitter there. Trying to get Fogg through five innings cost the Reds, probably took them out of the game.

Two runs have already scored after Keppinger failed to catch a routine pop out. Hopefully Walt is watching.

I continue to wonder how in the heck Fogg has a job.

It's all part of the greater plan Kc.

Even Patton needed a plan at Gettysburg.

Probably won't make any difference. Reds probably have all the runs they are going to get tonight.

Still a 2-1 game if Keppinger gets to that bloop, a ball a major league SS has to get to.

Wow, Majewski isn't even CLOSE to the zone.

How long with the Reds put up with Majewski? Wayne is gone. There is no reason to continue to try to justify the trade.

Were you expecting he would be?

But it's pretty obvious he's running out of gas. As long as you're not expecting 7 or 8 innings out of him, he's holding his own. Once he reaches five innings, you've got to have a quick hook. If there is more damage this inning, it's Dusty's fault IMO. He should've been pulled after the 4 pitch walk.
You may have jumped the gun.

He never did get to 5 innings, and his runs are growing by the second, 4 now and counting, he's lucky it's not 6 yet.

If a starter can't get to 5 innings without giving up a ton of runs....well, that's considered something other than "pretty damned good".

The two worst pitchers on the staff have pitched tonight in Fogg and Majewski.

If I was King, Majewski and Fogg would have been gone long ago.

That's my point though. He's not a starter. He's being misused. He has also been left in too long. It was pretty obvious after a 2b, hr and a 4 pitch walk that he should've been yanked. His final line is far worse than it should've been.

As awful as Fogg pitched, this would still be a 2-1 game after five innings if the Reds had just an average major league SS.
