Lopez is batting 6th and LaRue 7th in the Cardinals line-up.. seems a bit wierd...

I would've put Keppinger at SS, Hairston in LF, and Dickerson in CF. But Corey Patterson isn't my son in law...

Re: Reds vs. The Bird: 8/15/08--Hairston Returns

Is anyone watching the "game show" on the Reds Live pregame show? There was a college kid on there just now and they gave him some of the easiest questions possible and he still missed them. The first question was who played second base for the Reds during the Big Red Machine World Series years. The four answers were Barry Larkin, Pokey Reese, Joe Morgan, and I believe the fourth was Tommy Helms. Dude said Tommy Helms but Jim Day corrected him and gave him another chance. Next question was who once hit 52 homeruns in a season for the Reds. The answers were George Foster, Barry Larkin and two others. Another easy question that any Reds fan should know...but not this guy. His answer was Larkin.

    Sheesh.

Is Patterson an everyday player now? Sniffing the Mendoza line is sufficient for playing time I guess.

He should have been cut months ago. If you leave a bad player on the roster that Dusty likes, he will play him.

The camera flashed into the Reds dugout and there's Bruce and Eric Davis side by side talking. Like Larkin, I'd like to see ED back in the Reds organization.

Thank God Cueto isn't pitching this series.

My guess is Ryan Ludwick will never have another season like this in his dreams.

2-0 on an Ankiel 2-run homerun. Probably should have walked him with the right hander on deck.

It must be nice to use HGH and get away with it like Ankiel did.

What's weird is that clearly the guy didn't need it. He's clean and a top 10 NL hitter.

You don't think HGH had anything to do with Ankiel being where he is today?
