Hey, Josh gets Aramis Ramirez to pop up. Saw a stat earlier today about how A-Ram is hitting .333 off Fogg with four homers since 2003.

Votto leads off with a single, but Encarnacion is helpless on a two-strike slider. One down.

Votto steals second, and Patterson creates an out.

He does what he does. It's what he's good at.

Corey Patterson, batting a Ruthian .245 (!) in August, works (!!) a 2-2 count while Votto swipes second base (#5). Patterson then flies out to center.

Bako goes a-hackin' at the first pitch and grounds out to first.

    1-0 Cubs, mid 2nd.

    Nice pitch by Fogg.

    !!!

Fogg strikes out Jim Edmonds-Grande on four vicious high-eighties fastballs.

Then gives up a home run on the first pitch to Mark DeRosa.

George couldn't even get "you know his story" out before DeRosa hit the Fogg out of that ball.

These Fogg games are helping accomplish two goals.

First, they are helping the Reds get a higher draft pick next year.

And, by leaving Maloney in AAA they are helping Louisville clinch a spot in the playoffs and perhaps win some playoff games.

Fogg finishes the second by retiring the fading Kosuke Fukudome and Young Bakovian Henry Blanco without incident.

    2-0 Cubs, end 2nd.

Fogg makes Zambrano throw him seven fastballs before he whiffs. He swings at just one pitch, fouling it off. One out.

Dickerson works a full count, then walks again! Nice.

    Keppinger steps in.
