Dickerson works a great AB and slaps a double in the LF gap. The man just glides on the basepaths - big strides. Nice to see a guy with some strikezone judgment at the top of the lineup.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

After two great atbats by Dickerson and Kepp, Phillips follows by swinging at the first pitch and grounding into a fielders choice.

Votto RBI single makes it 1-0.

EdE hits a soft liner that Barmes catches and turns into a double play after bad baserunning by Phillips.

It's important in this lost season to get Cory Patterson 400 AB's. See to it Dusty.

Bruce hits a laser to begin the 2nd inning but Holliday makes a sliding catch to rob Bruce of a single.

For a "fast" person, Cory sure gets caught stealing a lot.
