    Wow. Speed kills.

Is there a worse baserunner in the bigs than Patterson? Maybe Freel?

Maybe we should call him Mr. September?

Another Error. I think Votto should make that play even though EdE's throw wasn't so hot. IMO a poor defender at 1B can drag down an entire IF. It's one reason I'm for Votto moving to LF where poor defense is less harmful. Its one thing to lack range, but to not complete the tough outs on groundballs really hurts. I think his range is OK, but wasted at 1B.

Cueto with a perfect Sacrafice Bunt. Nobody on base though.

Interesting list. Guys who give up the most hard hit balls tend to have the most errors behind them maybe?

He was already at 74 pitches after 3 innings on a hot day.

No, no chance he was pulled because of pitch count. Not a chance. This is something else.

I'd agree. Seems like he had another couple innings in him.

Sore right tricep for Cueto. Not. Good.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Soreness in his right tricep, also heard the word tendon in there. Just what I just heard on TV.

Not surprising, either. 30 innings of winter ball, and Baker squeezed 100+ pitches out of him in almost every start. The kid is 22, and in his first year of big league ball. He ain't like some veteran who's done it for years and who takes the winter off.

I thought George said "right bicep tendon."

    I was half-asleep though.
