Funny. CW yelling over Grande's assertation that Marquis has settled down. "They're hacking at the first pitch!" At least there is one sane person in the booth.

I'm still ticked the Reds brought Cueto back. He had a very strong August and had very respectable numbers for a 22-year old starter and had already thrown plenty of innings. A smart organization shuts him down after his injury and lets him end the season full of confidence. Instead the Reds decide to bring him back against arguably the best team in baseball and get roughed up without his best stuff. I don't care if he threw seven shutout innings tonight, he should have been shutdown IMO.

If he's that fragile, then trade him now. All pitchers have arm woes from time to time and this 5+ innings won't kill him as well as keeping the rotation full instead of throwing another kid out there to ruin his confidence.

It would make sense to shut him down if there was an alternative, but there isn't--especially if he's healthy.

He's not fragile. He's a huge part of the future and bringing him back with 20 games left and the team 25 games out of first place just doesn't make sense. If the Reds were actually good then bringing him back would be fine.

9-1 Cubs. Burton doesn't have anything tonight which isn't surprising considering he just come off the DL.

Yeah, Ted Lilly isn't pitching tonight.

Who's pitching for the other guy I noticed makes a big difference for the Reds
