    Harang vs Marshall.

Someone please post lineups when they're out. I won't be home this afternoon. Thanks.

Harang throws a 1-2-3 first inning on only seven pitches.

One being a long flyout bullet on the very first pitch to Soriano. I think they need to drill him next time up.

    That would be 'old school'.

    I like it!

Two hitless innings from Harang so far.

With only 7 of us here, do we refer to our group as "The Magnificent Seven?"

I guess everyone else is watching the NFL, also known as the No Fun League.

EdE gets the first hit and now we get the bottom of the order (6-7-8 hitters), to drive him in (wishful thinking).

    Bruce HBP. 1st & 2nd with 1 out.

Reds get it done in spite of Corey hitting the first pitch.

    Re: Reds vs Cubs 9/7/08

A few years ago I was at a Reds/Pads game in San Diego when DaMeet was playing regularly. I got into a conversation with the Pads fan sitting next to me and ended up betting him a beer that if DaMeet came up at least 4 times in that game that he would swing at the first pitch at least three times. By Young's third AB (around the 5th inning) I had my beer.

I would be pretty confident about making that same bet with Corey Patterson in the lineup. :

Ya' know, this hasn't been exactly a fun year to watch the Reds but I just checked on the Bengals game with the Ravens.

Compared to the Bengals the Reds are a delight. Geez, I'll bet that somewhere up in football heaven Paul Brown is wishing he had used a condom.

Patterson up with the sacks loaded. I look for the old 4-6-3 DP to end the inning.
