EdE singles and goes to second on an error to begin the bottom of the 9th.

That ball was catchable if Edmonds would have dived for it!

With EE on 2nd, Jay Bruce walks. Two on base, no outs....

Hanigan bunts into a fielders choice, EdE out at third. Good point by the Cubs announcer. Wood is all over the place here so why give him a free out?

Good call, Dusty. Give up an out for no good reason to set the stage for your worst hitter. You are stupid.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Stupidity reigns. Why bunt there? Gave them an out.

Stupid Dusty play. You just don't give up needless outs. Wood is struggling with his control, and we just gave away our first out.

Hanigan did bunt to the 1st base side, when he should have bunted to 3rd to force Aramis Ramirez or Wood to field the ball.

I think Javy would swing at anything. I mean anything.

With runners on 1st and 2nd, Javy Valentin walks. Loaded for Dickerson.

    Re: Reds vs Cubs 9/7/08

Valentin fouls off ball 4. That ball probably would have hit him. Doesn't surprise me, he swung at a pitch last night that actually hit his leg.

He walks somehow! Bases loaded and only one out for Dickerson.
