As I figured...he's settled down and gotten in a groove. But there's still no reason to have him pitch extended innings this late in the year. I'd hope he gets a moderately light load tonight.

Shut Cueto and Volquez down now, then there will be someone next year saying that they need to be shut down during a playoff race (I know, longshot) because they will be over 30 innings more than the previous year.
No matter what, someone is going to have a problem with how the pitchers are being handled. Just a by product of the internet age.

I agree completely. At some point, Dusty HAS to try to stretch out these two thoroughbreds. They've got to learn how to pitch late into the season. But that being said, they also need to be handled more carefully this late in the season than they were earlier.
