Ramirez has made him look foolish on two straight changeups so far.

The shift NEVER works for the Reds. Fielder hit a soft line drive right where the SS should have been, instead Cabrera is standing behind SS. I've never seen the shift work for the Reds. 1-0 Brewers. There's where the error hurt. If EdE makes that play then Ramirez could have walked Fielder to face the right hander.

If Ramirez doesn't start throwing his fast ball for strikes, he's doomed.

    Every fastball has been up.

Could be a short night for RR. Hope not.

Yep. He's not locating his pitches at all tonight.

1-0 Brewers and the bases are loaded with one out. That error has already come back to haunt like they always do. Error plus lack of fastball command tonight is a bad recipe.

Cameron K's swinging on a 92 mph fastball. Should have been the third out.

that 3-2 pitch to Cameron was impressive -- he'd struggled with the fastball up all inning and comes back to throw one down and on the outside black -- this kid looks like he competes well

3-1 on Bruce. Another nice AB. And he smokes the 3-1 pitch into RF for a single.

Castillo lines a single into CF. He's on fire right now.

Have to say Walt's moves just look better and better: Masset, Richar, Castillo, Owings. They all have a chance to contribute to this club, and he got them basically for overpriced rentals of two guys unmovable in any other way.

Ramirez walks Kendell to begin the second. Hopefully he can find his fastball or command or else it's going to be a rough night.

Suppan popped a bunt attempt to Votto, one out.
