That was a bad call on that 3rd strike. Well outside.

That homer just completely took the air out of me. This was an awesome game up until the poor usage of Burton last inning.

Edwin walks. They wanted NOTHING to do with Edwin. Stayed down and away with everything.

Bruce up with men on 1st & 2nd. Pitching change again.

I would love to see Phillips wearing another uniform next year. Most overrated player on this team by far.

No, I don't agree with that at all. Well, maybe the overrated part. It's more like people expect him to be something he's not. Dusty included. He's not a clean-up/homerun hitter. He'll hit for a decent average (.280'ish) with some nice pop. His glove is his most valuable asset though.

When he's in the cleanup slot, he swings for the fences regardless of the pitch it seems. He's a 6 or 7 batter IMO.

It's ridiculous to have him in the middle of the order against right-handers. Dusty's lineup construction is just beyond belief.

Bruce reaches on an error by Weeks to load the bases with only one out for Castillo.

Wow. Wilkin Castillo is 3-for-3 and 6 for his last 7 and Dusty pinch hits for him. Unreal.

There was nothing wrong with using Burton there. Baker is using his main guys in a meaningful series. Burton is healthy, had a long DL/rehab stint. He's not as sharp, but he seems ok.

Tomorrow Burton likely won't pitch, Thursday's off. So he'll get some rest.

If there's a criticism, Baker should have gone to Bray with the lefty Durham up. But having Burton pitch tonight is ok.

I find that sometimes it's the players who don't execute.

this board will explode if hariston hits into a DP.
there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.

Ricky henderson has a higher OBP than C. patterson and he's retired. C. Trent 6-14-2008

Hairston PH'ing for Castillo? I don't mind Hairston getting some AB's, but Castillo is on freaking fire right now, I'd let the kid swing away.
