Jay flies out deep to center to end the inning. No results off of Webb yet, but we do seem to be making solid hard contact. And for some odd reason, fly balls for the most part?

Dunn flies out to deep left. Nice catch by Dickerson in foul territory. No score after four innings.

Reynolds gets a hustle double on what should have been a single to Patterson.

That needs to be a single and an error. I hate crap like that going on the pitcher's record. Patterson is responsible for Reynolds being on 2B.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

    Dickerson is 2-for-3 against Webb.

Dickerson caught stealing on a pitch out. Richar follows with a double to deep right.

Votto flies out to the warning track to end the inning. No score after 5 1/2.

Sigh. Stealing bases costs most teams more runs than it generates. Votto's inning ending deep fly is a run scoring sac fly if Dickerson stays put. I HATE running in to outs -- especially when getting on base in the first place is so difficult.

I just wish teams understood that. 90% of them just don't get that.
