Josh Roenicke vs Adam Dunn should be fun to watch

Walks Chris Young on four pitches. In steps Dunn. I don't see this ending well. Where is Herrera? Bray?

Roenicke is having a Burton-like debut

Roenicke bounces a fastabll into Dunn's leg. Run scores...

Dusty couldn't be worse. Terrible situation for a rookie's first appearance.

Excellent job by Dusty Baker. This loss will go on Dusty, not Volquez. Not only will Volquez suffer the loss but his ERA goes up from 3.17 to ?

Roenicke looks pretty good in terms of velocity. Control was shakey but that's understandable.

Roenicke Ks Reynolds. He walks off the field angry at himself, shaking his head. Camera cuts to Volquez, who is also shaking his head and looks angry as he turns away from the field and heads for the clubhouse.

Roenicke is going to need a secondary pitch

the one he threw bounced and hit Dunn -- everything else was heat, but lots of guys throw 94-95

You guys wanted Roenicke and now you got him and you're still complaining?

Might as well see what he can do in this situation now.

No we're complaining because our clueless manager sent Volquez back out for another inning.

Dusty needed to bring a lefty reliever in against Dunn there. Can't leave Roenicke in there, particularly for his first outing.

I don't mind that he brought Volquez back out there, but he was out of the inning with one more out. Needed to go after Dunn with Bray there.
