Imagine if AZ loses the division by one game...will they look back on this night?

Brutal call by the ump to end the game. Can't help but laugh at the D-Backs after this game. Those last couple plays had me chuckling.

maybe Mark knows something about the arm of the DB's right fielder that I don't, but that FB looked deep enough to score an above-average runner like Richar

Firstly, the axiom is play for the tie at home, the win on the road.

Secondly, the odds are that with still only one out, the runner on third will likely score.

Not to mention that Upton has a very powerful arm.

Is it any wonder why Ford is nearly broke? The marketing geniuses don't have a clue. According to my owner's manual, the Edge is technically a truck.

Regardless, surely they have another commercial. Surely.

Nah. Dunn and Griffey are gone. No shaving cream tonight.

I have a feeling these players WJ has assembled are going to be special. And that's not just because of tonight.

Well I'm glad Berry isn't sitting in the clubhouse right now saying to himself "Dang, I should've sent him" following a 2-1 'Back's win

Maybe putting pressure on the other team's defense created the bad break? We'll never know

6 IP, 2 ER = 3.00 ERA. So it still dropped from 3.23, but it only dropped to 3.22 instead of 3.17.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Gameday shows it clearly in the strikezone. Though the ump hasn't been giving that low strike for most of the game.

Ross was more likely to give "facials" than Dunn or Griffey. I think Javy got a rookie (Dickerson?) last month. Maybe they only do it at Cincy? Aaron likes to throw the water and get Pic or Day in the process

Speaking of commercials, that Elk and Elk commercial. One of the Elks looks like Moe Howard of the Three Stooges. Who could take him seriously??
