Pettyjohn relieves Cueto, lets 2 on but gets out of it. 1-1 Mid 6.

    1-1 after 8 1/2 innings. D-Back pitchers have retired 18 straight hitters.

Reds can't hit a lick. Is there any way we can get Josh back?

Yeah, offer then Volquez. They would likely jump at it.

How did OBM get the authority to open a game thread? Wow .

Anyway, it's up to Cordero. Buckle your seatbelts, gang. We're going for a ride with a 2-1 lead.

Reds win -- 2-1 take the series despite not hitting enough to even get by--3 hits in 10 innings. But they did get by and it's wonderful though boring as all get out.

Patterson crushed that. Cordero looked good, it's not like those two hits were screamers or anything. Cordero has thrown 11 straight shutout innings. Good win for the Reds. Two of three from the Cubs, two of three in Milwaukee (could've been a sweep), and two of three in Arizona.

The Reds outscored the D-Backs 7-6 in this series. A combined total of 13 runs were scored in this series. Amazing.

That home ump does not have a strikezone that any pitcher could want....Rauch had CP K'd on 2-2....just like Burton had Upton K'd looking before he was taken out.
