The Cards are not in any race.....so Dusty .....can you please ask for more veterans to be signed so we can continue to complain and whine about you?

I still don't know why the pitcher in the 8 hole still irks me, but it does...it's not like LaRussa has Corey Patterson at his disposal....

Dickerson leads off with a single to left.

    Hairston sacs him to 2nd.

Votto lines out for the 2nd time, this one to Pujols.

EE pops out on the first pitch. 1-0 Cards after 4.

Looper, Izturis, and Schumaker go down in order in the top of the 5th.

BTW, Skip freaking Schumaker is OPSing .879 against RHP this season. Just more evidence of the ridiculous lightning in a bottle so many Cards have caught this year.

Still 1-0 Cards with Bruce, Kepp, and Patterson due up.

All three ground out, but at least Kepp's was sharply hit.

    1-0 Redbirds after 5.

Felipe Lopez grounds out on a hard hit ball back to Bronson.

Arroyo gets Pujols to K swinging on a fastball off the plate inside.

Ludwick strikes out swinging on a slider. 3 out, still 1-0 Redbirds in the middle of 6.

    After 5 and a half, Reds 0, Cards 1

Arroyo again looks good. Another 'quality start', and he has thrown 93 pitches through 6 innings.

    We need some offense......
