Bruce gets ahead 2-0. 2-1. Ball three. 3-1. Pops out. Geez. Rough night for Jay.

And now Cabrera swings at a first pitch at his ankles and a foot outside.

Cabrera lines out softly to Lopez and tags second base to double off Votto. Man oh man. Two straight innings the Reds strand a lead off double. There goes the four game winning streak.

In comes the struggling Jared Burton. Soft line drive to center, Patterson hesitates and lets it fall.

Do they have a dramatic finish in them?

That's the second straight start he's walked six batters. That's a sign of a tired pitcher.
Actually it sounds like he got better as the night went on. His last two innings were very smooth. Maybe he's not tired.

Or maybe he is, but my guess is either way we really have no clue.

Patterson gets ahead 3-1 and then swings at a 3-1 pitch shoulder height and fouls it off. Good grief. 3-2 now. And then he takes ball four inside.

Dickerson is pinch hitting for Bako. I wish Dusty would have done this two innings ago.

3-1 on Dickerson. Swing and a miss. 3-2. K's swinging. Blew the fastball past him twice.
