nice first from Ramirez, 1st pitch strikes to all 3 hitters, and another excellent throw from Hanigan for a CS

Bruce doesn't let Votto stay alone at 20 long. 5-0.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Rosales and Patterson make the first two outs and Hanigan pops out to end the inning.

    5-0 Reds through 1.

Awesome first inning. Bruce and Votto are gonna be a dynamic 3/4 punch for a long time.

What was Cabrera doing, playing on the warning track? That looked like a routine flyout off the bat.

Maybe Ramirez can pick up a win tonight?
The bullpen blew his other two starts in which he was leading.

With Alonso in the house, Votto shows him how it's done.

The announcers talking about the cost of a pitching win is driving me nuts. Is it really that hard to join the 21st freaking century. I would pay (even more) to listen to announcers who actually had particular skill in either calling or analyzing a baseball game... particularly analyzing. And no, I don't mean something like John Kruk and Steve Phillips...

Bruce is going to be great. Obvious.

Thats the one thing not having power has really killed me with.... Usually I watch the games but listen to nothing. I couldn't take it so I just started watching the games and not listening. I am still without power and have had to listen to the games all week. Sometimes it makes my head hurt. Brantley and Kelch haven't said much to bother me tonight though.

Brewers going to the bullpen early. Weeks in to PH for the pitcher.
