It would be 10-0 Reds right now if Andy Phillips was playing.

I wonder if Hal will agree that Cueto's spot is secure after this performance????

    Bottom 5:

Rosales grounded out, Bruce singled, Hernandez grounded out, and Dickerson flied out. No score after five innings.

The Reds might have a need at SS. Maybe they can bring him back.

    Top 6:

Cueto still pitching, he gets a groundout, strikeout, and pop out.

    Cueto: 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K. He's retired 15 consecutive hitters.

That's a fairly representative Boston line-up too. I guess we can slot Cueto to "ready for the season"...

Holy crap. Save some of that for the regular season Johnny!

    From Fay:

1-2-3 sixth for Cueto. I lost his pitch count. The dude works fast. But my guess is he was under 10.

Hmmm, 18 in a row. This guy may have some competition.

Finally a run for the Reds.

    Bottom six:

Janish reached on an error, advanced to third on a throwing error by Buchholz. Gomes pinch hit for Cueto and struckout. Taveras popped out. Keppinger followed with an infield single to score Janish. Votto K's.

    1-0 Reds after six innings.

    Cueto's final line: 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K
