While I don't think Dusty is a strategic whiz, I do think that more wins are created by who's on the 25-man than the starting 9.

Why can't we watch this game on MLB Extra Innings?

Reds botch another DP opportunity. Error of Phillips.

Maybe they watched Dickerson strike out against the lefty last night.

You absolutely can't give teams like the Mets four and five outs in an inning. Instead of inning over, the Mets have two on and one out.

It's embarrasing how bad the team has been defensively so far. It cost them both games. And it's by the guys who are supposedly in for their defense.

Even if Arroyo gets out of this, his stay on the mound will be shorter because of these miscues. It's now a high stress inning, a lot of pitches. Just terrible.

He gets out with no damage...except for his pitch count

The error cost Arroyo 10 pitches. He's at 28 pitches through one inning instead of 18.

    defense

I agree. The Reds D has been terrible so far (despite a few really nice individual plays).

I have to say, I was excited to come home from classes and see an afternoon game that was strategically placed in my 4 hour gap between classes.

They said last night that today's game was radio only so there isn't a TV broadcast for Cincy right now.

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Seems weird to black it out when there is no other channel airing it on in Cincinnati. But thank you deltachi.
