    Wow....they didn't screw it up.

    I'm amazed.

According to Kiper, Nick Saban really spoke highly about Smith. If there's one guy who know will mean what he says, it's Nick Saban.

    I would've preferred Monroe.

Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Monroe was a safer pick....could care less what Saben says....of course he is not going to downgrade his own player.

The Bengals should trust their scouts.

Now, do the Bengals trade back into the 25-28 area, ahead of Pittsburgh, to take Alex Mack? With all those picks to burn I would. But I'm not in charge yet.

Just when I think being a Bengals fan is the worst, the Raiders do something to remind me it could be worse.

As long as the Bengals get Mack, Unger, or Wood with the second pick, I think the Bengals had a great first day of the draft. I don't see that happening, though, because all three of those guys could be gone, and a flashy player is going to drop down.

Very good pick for the Bengals. They finally do a smart thing and upgrade their offensive line.
