Well, the ump is squeezing both, equally, though. The 1-2 pitch to Ramon, the Latin Lover, was def. a strike on the outside corner, but called a ball.

Roy O is pumping in strikes, for sure tonight. Just wait for one, Boys!

Finally, a 6-3 GO on a 2 hopper by the Latin Lover. 1 down. AGon up.

Re: 4/27/09 - Reds (Cueto) v. Astros (Oswalt)

AGon flails at the first pitch, then fouls the next off to fall behind 0-2, then chops one to the area the is between 3B and SS...Blum was gonna play it, called off by Miggy, then Miggy can't get it out of his glove, double clutches and AGon beats it out!

    Our first hit!

Cueto lays down a sacrifice, but it trickles foul down the 1B line. Then he takes a ball...1-1.

Then he foul tips the next one off...so much for the sacrifice.

Instead, he chops one down to Miggy for a 6-4-3 DP and that's the inning folks.

Also, Pudge is hurt...will update when we know more.

Berkman/Lee/Tejada due up for the Astros. Big inning here for Johnny.

    Ok updated on Pudge.

Cueto's bat when he let it go, fell onto the back of his foot/ankle area. Looked like it hurt like a...well, it didn't tickle I'd guess.

He ended up walking off the field and is laughing in the dugout, so I guess he's fine.

And Cueto starts out Redskiller w/ another first pitch ball. Ugh.

    2-0 now on him.

Redskiller chases one down and away and fouls it off, 2-1. Then Cueto pumps in a strike to even the count. 2-2.

SIT DOWN sir, right on the black at the knees, outside corner. 1 down!

Cueto starts El Caballo (someone wanna spell that for me?), with a curve for strike one, then fouls off strike two, then a ball high.

Then Lee makes a really loud, really far strike.

Cueto seems pretty in control of things tonight.

Lee flies out harmlessly F8. 2 down.

Cueto just looking really sharp. Definitely carrying over from last game.

Wow, Dickerson doing GREAT in LF!

Cueto with a good pitch down below the knees, Miggy does down to get it and laces a SHOT into the gap in LCF, but Dickerson runs his butt off and slides behind it to keep it from going to the wall and makes Miggy slam on the brakes and kept him to a single. You won't see it on webgems, but the crowd game him a loud applause for the play. Really was great.

    Great play.

Next pitch, EdE bobbles one and everyone is safe (ruled a hit).

    1 and 2nd, 2 down.

Another nice defensive play by Dickerson to cut that off and hold it to a single.

Tejada ain't half the hitter he used to be but he still hits well against the Reds.

Error on EdE to extend the inning. Sigh.

    Good ol' EE.

I hate it when our defense puts a sound pitching effort at jeopardy. But we got out of it.

Then Cueto gets Blum to ground out weakly to 1B, flip to Cueto and he gets out the inning.

Good pitching that inning by Cueto, just good hitting my Miggy and even better defense by Dickerson!

    thru 3.5 0-0.

If EdE makes that play, the Astros have their 7-8-9 up in the 5th inning. Instead they'll have their 8-9-1.

I have been very unimpressed with Taveras' bunting ability so far. Has he gotten a bunt hit yet?

Willy T lays down the first pitch, by bunting, and just puts it in front of the plate just a foot short or so and Pudge hustles and makes a hard, fast throw to barely get WillyT. 1 down.

Then Dickerson lines one past Kaz into RF for a single. Good to see
