    Apparently not.

I just wanted to say thank you Membengal. I wasn't able to watch/listen to the game tonight and I appreciate the pbp. Unfortunately, nobody else was willing/able to pick it up. From this game thread, I have no clue what the final score even was. Nobody posted the actual occurances of the game...just complained about Dusty not pulling Harang, or that Harang doesn't have it, or is a below average starter...the usual. Chip even threw in a not-so-subtle reminder to talk about the game. It's this kind of thing that makes the game threads kind of annoying. But again, like I said earlier, thanks Mem...it IS appreciated.

Harang has been a huge disappointment this year IMO. I thought he would bounce back from last year, but he's hasn't bounced back nearly as much as I thought.

you know, I hate Milwaukee, the Brewers, and Bud Selig. I hate the fact that we put our two best pitchers out there and we had no run support for one and the other had a bad night. The result was we went from hot to not and face a sweep tomorrow.

Inconsistency usually means a .500 record, and friends, I fear that's what we're going to see. It's better than nothing.

You have access to the internet, but couldn't find the score?

Of course I could. That's not what I meant (and I think you knew that). It was that the game basically became ignored in favor of the favorite RedsZone tradition...the pile on. Just irritating. But mostly I just wanted to tell Mem that I appreciated the PBP.

Metacommentary destroys threads too regardless of personal preference for content and it perhaps may be one of the more efficacious poisons.

I agree. The days of him being a top 15 arm were short-lived and will remain in the rearview. He's a Brad Radke-esque back end stabilizer arm. Nice to have around, but a guy whose FIP will likely be in the range of last year's 4.78. In other words, an average starter. If the Reds are going to make any noise this season Cueto and Volquez are going to have to be the drivers, not experiencing ANY dropoff whatsoever from here on in (and really, Owings is going to have make true--not luck--improvements--i.e. stop BB-ing the universe).
