    6/27/09 Reds vs Tribe

Here is the correct lineup. Sorry about the prior error. Thanks Mth

    Dickerson 8
    Hairston Jr. 5
    Votto 3
    Phillips 4
    Nix 7
    Gomes DH
    Bruce 9
    Hanigan 2
    Janish 6

    (Bailey 1)

Votto and Phillips flop spots from the last two games; RHP Toma Ohka (0-1, 4.70) throws for the Tribe tonight at 7:05 here in Cleveland. Nix and Hanigan in, Taveras out, Hernandez getting a rest.

That's about as good as Baker can do right now. The Reds will get 3 hits.

Nix walks to load the bases for Jonny Gomes. It would be wise to get some runs tonight with Homer on the mound.

Reds have bases loaded and two outs. Hairston a single and two walks. Gomes up.

The Indians pitchers problem has been issuing walks. Show some patience guys.

Gomes bounces to short. Typical Reds rally. Pitcher can't throw strikes, loads the bases and we can't score. We may get more than 3 hits, but when you blow opportunities like that, you understand why this team cannot score.

Homer getting squeezed already. 4 pitches to Carroll were strikes on Gameday.

They were close. I really do not like this umpire.

Dickerson muffs the ball, but gets a force at second when the Indians got mixed up on whether or not it was a catch. Bad call. Where did they get these umpires?

Homer strikes out Choo to get off on only a walk and two very hard hit outs. Interesting inning. Phillips gets hit twice and the umpire misses the first one, refuses to let him take the base on the second claiming he stepped into the ball, then in the bottom of the first, we get the blown Dickerson call. We're in for a long night.

K for Bailey ends inning. Set up Choo for the fastball, then threw it by him.

That sequence to Choo -- splitter down, splitter down, fastball up for the K -- is the kind of pitching I've been waiting to see from Bailey.

He blew a .300 hitting Choo away in that AB.
