Make hay while the sun shines, boys. Get a lot of runs this first inning.

Schmidt currently has an infinite ERA, 1 run, zero outs this year.

Votto gets new life when Manny can't reach a foul fly ball and gets booed.

Schmidt is a human batting tee. 86 mph fastball, 81 mph changeup, and a big loopy curve.

If we can't put up a crooked number on him...
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Votto singles to right. They are roughing up Schmidt. 1st and 3rd.

Sounds like a Jim Bowden reclamation project...

3 in a row off the wall to start a game. When's the last time you saw that happen?

Schmidt isn't going to last long, lets get as many as possible before he's taken out

Votto steals 2nd. The throw goes into center. Hairston scores and Votto goes to 3rd. 2-0 Reds!
