After getting down 5-0 Harang comes out in the 2nd throwing 90-94 mph.

    Re: 7/29/09 Reds vs Pads

Brantley suggested earlier that Arron was purposely changing his approach from his deceptively sneaky fastball work to trying to do more change up/offspeed stuff. I'm paraphrasing because I don't remember exactly how he said it.

Likely just Cowboy babble, but if there even an inkling of truth to that idea, it raises some interesting questions.

Harang and Arroyo need to pitch in a different stadium. They give up too many home runs. They are fly ball pitchers throwing in a band box.

Hairston with a solo home run. Which means the Reds have a run. And a hit.

    Scoreless 5th inning for Harang

The Reds need 4 more solo homers to tie it up

Gomes with a pretty good at bat and Latos is just now closing in on 50 pitches.

    Re: 7/29/09 Reds vs Pads

Tatum walked to start the inning and Harang bunted him over...
I guess Harang is going to pitch the 7th or the Reds don't have any good bats on the bench?

    Re: 7/29/09 Reds vs Pads

Tatum walks, first BB of the game for Latos. Then Harnag bunts him to second.

Why would we give away an out down 5-1? I suppose Dusty wants to leave Harang in, and he is better off bunting....
