Maybe Miller did the deal. Walt might be on vacation.

Small reminder: Fay I believe it was reported yesterday that there will be no payroll-increasing acquisitions at the deadline. So don't expect any major leaguers to return.

    Back to speculation.

Seema unlikely we would get anything much of value for JHJ.

    Makes sense.

I could see Jocketty trading for Cashman so that he could get the hell out of dodge .

His stats look good, but he isn't a world beater. I would rate him as a slightly better prospect than Travis Wood. Thats a good prospect, fringe top 100 guy, but not a teams top prospect.

Probably not someone as good as him, but he is the absolute best possible return that I can think of. Odds aren't good its him, but I can hope the Yankees got crazy and had to pull the trigger on something.

If anyone has to pull the trigger on JHJ, Dusty would jump in front of the bullet.

I'm expecting a return ala the Jeff Conine deal from a few years back. Nothing exciting but a savings of maybe $650k that will be put toward a pot of money to blow on some worthless player this upcoming offseason.

Does THIS mean we'll see Heisey or Stubbs now?
I have a love-hate relationship with Albert Pujols. Mostly hate.
