Lehr does the job on Pujols again, 2 down.

Rosales really depends on his arm over there -- I don't think I've seen him take a step in on a bouncer yet.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Holliday was out, close play though and the ump rules safe.

I know RZers think that Lehr doesn't have the stuff to succeed on the big stage, but this year all he's done is perform well. On both AAA squads and now with Cincy, color me impressed with him. Some guys just know how to pitch, he seems to be one of them.

Lehr continues to lull the Cards to sleep as ludwick pops out. 4-1 reds.

He definitely knows where to miss with his pitches which is a big plus with this offense.

    Hanigan is brutal these days.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Lehr with a single over the head of DeRosa. First big league hit. Congrats Justin!

Rosales runs to first as he walks. Hanigan continues to stink it up grounds into a DP.

I'm not saying sign the guy up for our rotation next year...but out of all the minor league dreck that has surfaced in Cincy over the past 10 years...has anyone looked this impressive?

OPS now .709. Will need a regular catcher next year.

    Terrible base-running.

Card announcers complaining about the umpires tonight, he's been consistent on his ball and strike calls.

I can't stand these Cardinals announcers, they're so obnoxious.
