Bailey Ks Blake looking on the outside corner. Just a brilliant outing. This kid has a golden arm.

Baker has constantly left Homer in just a tiny bit too long throughout this whole year. Here he goes setting the same situation up again.

Except Bailey gets ahead in the count by smoking him inside, then catches him looking with flames on the outside corner.

Impressive. Now get him the heck out of there.

Okay, now for the big question. 115 pitches. Do you at least let him go out there for the ninth and give him a SHOT at the shutout? I vote yes, but keep him on a VERY short leash.

Heck, I'd be all for sending him out there and pulling him just for the standing ovation.

Woops, I must've missed that. Thanks. Thought he was still an option.

Who else wants to see them bring in DRH for the 9th that they've been subjected to Homer's high speed fastball all night?!

No I think you need to protect that arm and bring your closer in to shut the door.

Nah. Why push it? If you do leave him in I wouldn't hesitate to relieve him.

No way. Take Bailey out. That was a high stress inning. Put Nick Massett in now.

My guess is Dusty will leave him in, but I would disagree with that.

Great performance by Bailey. And I didn't mind leaving him in that last inning (though it was risky).

But yeah, time to cut bait.

He did his job, now turn it over to the pen. Wonderful performance. Best of his young career.

After I posted that, I had a better idea. Bring him back out...THEN pull him. Let him get the standing ovation.

    Totally agree.

115 pitches is enough with a 4 run lead in the 9th.

Homer looked great tonight against one of the best teams in baseball.
    sorry we're boring
