88 pitches after 6. Two more innings too much?

At least one more inning for Homer but it will depend on how that one goes if he comes back for one more after that one.

Gomes hits like a major leaguer.

Every pitcher is different. With the smooth way he's throwing tonight, he can go 120 quite easily IMO.

Sometimes, I feel like I'm out on the limb by myself on Gomes. Granted, perhaps that limb can't even support my weight let alone the weight of others. But still, I'm very outspoken about him. He just keeps getting it done. Getting it done. Getting it done. I wonder when it will become deserving of a starting job next year.

I'd give Homer one more inning and that's it.

He probably can go the whole game, he has an easy delivery, but he's just too young to push him too much.

Hope the Reds open the lead so there will be less incentive to keep him out there.

I'm hoping Bailey can start the 8th. Play it by ear after that.

Gomes now has 16 homers in less than 200 ab on the season.

Gomes eyes are totally locked in on the baseball right now.

If Gomes can finish the year at .270 with 21/22hrs than I think you need to think about giving him every opportunity to win the LF job next season.

I agree Gomes is underrated by some but I don't think anyone expected he'd be this productive.
