If they finish this game fast enough, at least the guys who are playing in both games will get a ton of rest in between the two games.

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

I saw this Twitter post from Sheldon on Gameday:

videoboard just showed solitary fan surrounded by empty seats...as song played "All By Myself."
At least the production team at GABP has a sense of humor.

Funny C.Trent note from the game:

    * Bottom 5: You ever want to talk to a big league player? Just heard someone talking to Votto from the bullpen while he's at bat. You can hear everything today. Kinda amazing. Redlegs 3, Peglegs 2

The entertainment value would certainly be higher.

The Dusty may make the mistake of running Wells out there another inning, but, whatever happens, I'd say Kip Wells did his job.

The Reds get the last laugh in this one, as thousands of those empty seats are paid for.

I'll agree with you. 2 hits over 6 innings ain't too bad. It would have been better if those hits didn't create runs, though.

Oh, has anybody figured out why Dusty has the 2B batting 2nd? I thought that was reserved for shortstops...

But none of them are buying beer.
