5-1 Yanks. Final. They got 2 on in the ninth, but Rivera came on and shut the door. I find it absolutely amazing that Mariano has been doing it at such a high level for such a long time. Has there EVER been a reliever even CLOSE to as good as he's been?

    Oh, and sorry Heather.

I might send Rhodes back out for the 9th. See if he gets into trouble or not. CoCo is gassed and needs the night off. Plus Rhodes wasn't taxed in the 8th.

That's how I'd play it too. Cordero simply HAS to get some downtime.

Maybe Harang can pitch the ninth. He's a good candidate in case there's extra innings again.

Man on second base for Reds now, maybe they can get an insurance run and keep Coco on the bench.

Bucs pitcher has a blister or something.

Mo is definitely one of the best ever to close games. Tough to compare him to older guys because the position has changed so much. It will be interesting to see what the Yankees do with him.

Nice to see Wlad with some power.

    Nice hit by Balentin.

Thanks for the update on the O's-Yanks game. I'm fine with a loss. I just didn't want them to get no hit by Pettite!

Gameday was showing an injury delay after the Balentien double. Somebody hurt?

Dusty would have played Pipp when he recovered.
