    Take that, Pirates.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Another good night for the home team. 11 runs equals fun for this line up.

LMAO @ the Baseball Tonight highlights of the Yankee-Orioles game....Posada never knew the count when he was at bat. First he got ball four and stayed at home plate until the umpire told him to go to first, and then he got strike two and thought it was strike three so he started heading back towards the dugout. Dude has been a catcher for how long now?!

At least our guys know the counts when they play. :

1-2 hitters go 2 for 8, but they score 3 runs and contribute 2 RBIs.

And Gomes is really getting the job done, isn't he? 3-4 tonight.

All of a sudden, this team is fun to watch again and it's the AAA guys that are a big part of it. Even Tatum got into the act.

I guess its for another thread, but Balentien hasn't impressed me at all. I don't think he should be on the MLB roster in 2010.
    Louisville material.

I hope the 2010 MLB roster starts out with more talent than it did in 2009 as well.

From what I've seen of Balentien he shows good plate discipline and power, two skills that are very hard to teach. I know it's too early to say if he can maintain those traits but I like what I've seen so far.

Even if he starts out 2010 in AAA it beats the heck outta having guys like Norris Hopper waiting in the wings.
