Come on Micah! I really want him to have a decent outing in this game.

Hey, we finally kept McCutchen off the basepaths for the first time!

Micah is SUCH a nice guy. He's the one player at Redsfest I actually had a decent conversation with when I got his autograph. He couldn't have been friendlier to me and we had a great chat.

The strike zone is driving me crazy tonight. What more does this guy want at home plate?!

Think Micah can go 3 for the save? Those should be renamed the Sullivan or something.

Wow, Gomes crushed that ball for a double and if he'd hit that to the right or left, that one was out of here for sure!

Re: 9/1/09 - Reds vs. Pirates

I know we are playing AAA players, but earlier in the season we couldn't buy a win against Pittsburgh with Gonzo at short, Encarnacion at third Hairston in left, Traveras in center, and Hernandez behind the plate. They're all gone now and each player at those positions (with the notable exception of the catching position) are playing better than the higher priced players. It's a shame we wasted so much of the season on those guys.
