There's a new pitcher but I can't tell who yet.

I think it's Sanches on the bump. Stubbs up.

Stubbs draws the walk. He's looking more and more comfortable at the plate from what I can tell.

Almost half of his k's are from Arroyo and Francisco. Francisco has a reputation for k's. And Bruce is a work in progress that, yes, does have to improve but I wouldn't expect it to happen overnight. We can get on Phillips for his 2 k's but why? It's one game. I'll agree that approach is something that the hitters have to work on if they want to end the losing season streak next season but I'm just not gonna get too hung up on this game.

Nix hits into a DP. 1-6-3 to end the inning. Crudtastic.

Fair enough. I guess it was the combination of everything that irritated me. 10 k's before the 7th inning and under 80 pitches. That ain't too good.

But regardless, Nolasco's pitched a VERY nice game. Heck, so did Bronson for that matter.

Ramon Ramirez pitching. Quickly 1 down as Hanley flies out to Jay.

I'll agree with that. Some good pitching on both sides tonight. Just need the offense to deliver just a couple more runs.

Let's just hold it to a 1 run lead. I'll take my chances with Votto, Phillips, Francisco & Bruce due up in the 9th.

2 down. Cantu grounds out to Janish

Ramon with a little chin music to Uggla. Comes right back and strikes him out. Nice inning by Ramirez.

I really thought he'd be a cog in the rotation heading into the season, or at least the long man in the pen. He kind of got lost in the mix this year.

Come on Reds...time for some offense! Can't argue that Bronson pitched a great game but I'm sure he's kicking himself over the HR in his last inning.
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Phillips strikes out looking. Close pitch....might've been inside. But with 2 strikes, you've got to protect the plate. It was definitely close enough to swing at it.
