7 2/3 innings for Dumatrait for Pittsburgh this season and he has allowed four home runs.

Yes, that sounds like our Phil.

Bruce up, lefty against lefty. And this is REAL hittable lefty for Jay to practice against.

I think Jay is spending some time working with Joey on hitting. That's a VERY good thing!

Another run scores on a Nix groundout. 8-1 Reds. I guess the guys haven't totally used up their hit quota for this series after all, LOL

Votto back over 313 for the season. In 501 AB's: 313/407/547 950+ OPS.

Without the 25-day stay on the DL, this is that near-MVP the Reds could hitch their wagon to, year in and year out.

Best season by a Red 1B since... Lee May in '71? Klu?

Homer, buoyed by run support, heads to the mound. Sadly, McCutcheon doesn't get the lie-down-and-die memo, and doubles to RF to start the Pirate 5th.

That looked painful. He almost had it though.

Apparently, that's true. I stepped away again after Joey's double...got back after the inning ended...and we've got 8 freaking runs! I miss all the fun stuff. *sigh*

    Good night membengal!

The only runs the Pirates have gotten tonight are on sac flies. It's now 8-2 Reds.

Same here. Since I'm leaving again...I suppose we'll score 25 tonight.
