SF- what's so eye opening about Bruce's numbers? maybe I'm losing it in the glow of Janish's 1.124 OPS

Hard to keep this kid outta the BP to start the season, imo. That's what...8 IP and no runs?

This offense ain't lookin' too impressive. I know it's just Spring Training and all but I'd feel better if they were scoring a few more runs

Bruce is someone that we all like and that we are counting on.

Last spring he did what he did on the heals of the previous season.

At the end of spring of 09, I asked if anyone is concerned about Bruce, most denounced the implication. (Doesn't matter so much about what I think, but, it does matter what Jay Bruce actually does) Bruce had a rough 2009 season.

So far Bruce, inspite of the discussion regarding his time off in 09 and coming back at the end of last season, doing well, is having a tougher spring this year than last, it may or may not mean that he will struggle again in 2010. Then again it might. I think that we are going to have to be more patient with him than we anticipated.

I don't think we are seeing that improvement that we had hoped for from what we saw at the end of last season. Of course I want to be wrong, I want him to do well.

I think that you're right to be concerned. Some of those guys had some short falls to begin with, and regardless of spring training, they have a MLB past, I think there are some possible red flags up there.

All Bruce needs to do is be relaxed at the plate and let his natural skills take over. When and if he stops over thinking at bat he will be a true star in MLB.
    2006 Redzone mock Draftee's- 1(st) Daniel Bard(redsox), 1(st sup)( Jordan Walden (Angels), 2(nd) rd.- Zach Britton(Orioles), 3(rd) Blair Erickson(Cardinals), 3(rd) Tim Norton( Yankees),(cuz its a Tim Hortons thing
