    Keepers for new Strat-o-Matic League

I joined a new strat-o-matic 30 team league where you choose an actual major league franchise. Of course my choice was the Reds. I can retain six players from last seasons Reds team. I didn't have any problem with my top five of Votto, Phillips, Cueto, Bailey, and Bruce. However, looking for help on choosing my final retainee. Players I am debating are Cordero, Stubbs, Arroyo, and even Volquez. This is a keeper league so age and future potential have to be considered. Any advice is appreciated!

Voelquez for sure, Codero too, both have good cards, Voelquez might get in for a handful of games and that could go either way next year, I'd ponder arroyo, he's strat fodder.

Thanks westofyou. Now giving some thought to Rolen. Yeah, he's old but closer should be easier to fill than 3b. At least that is my thought.

He's good against LH's and has an elite glove, I'd keep him. In a 30 team league he's a good player

Westofyou - We are a few rounds into the draft. It doesn't look like I will have the pitching to compete this season so I leaned toward younger players with some ceiling. I still have holes to fill but here is how the team is shaping up:

    c) Nick Hundley
    1b) Joey Votto
    2b) Brandon Phillips
    3b) Casey Blake
    ss) Evereth Cabrera
    lf) Johnny Damon
    cf) Stubbs/Dickerson
    rf) Jay Bruce

    sp) Johnny Cueto
    sp) Homer Bailey
    sp) Dallas Braden
    sp) David Huff

    rp) Daniel Bard

I usually don't have so many Reds on my strat teams. So, it will be fun to follow them even if it doesn't lead to a championship.
