Sounds like Sir Alex is a bit of a poor loser. I didn't get to see the game, but whining about the Germans and claiming they wouldn't have prevailed if Man U had 11 men is lame. I noticed he didn't complain about the fact that it was a yellow, just that the Germans lobbied for it.

He called them "typical Germans." It is hard to believe that what is essentially an ethnic slur is being tolerated. My mother is German so I was a bit touched off by the comment, especially since I have followed FC Bayern (her home team as a child) my entire life. A couple of years ago I got to listen to two men in a Bristol pub extolling the virtues of Sir Alex Ferguson. Both men were wearing Liverpool shirts which made it kind of odd. I've encountered similar outpourings from fans of various rival clubs. He really is placed on a pedestal.
