Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
So I went back and found Votto doing the John Wall dance, but I have no idea how to rip it from mlb.com. Anybody who wants to see it can go to the 1:35 mark on the Marlins broadcast and it'll show it.

As that win expectancy chart shows, what a herky-jerky game, and a very nice little W for the Redlegs. 4 hour marathon kicking off a road trip, coming back from an embarrassing defensive gaffe and a bases-loaded full-count precipice -- mucho positivo.
Kudos to the vets -- Rolen and Cabrera -- for 3 long balls off a tough righthander.
