Jerry Narron pinch hitting Juan Castro for Josh Hamilton thinks this is a dumb lineup.

redreporter Players not in #Reds lineup and how they fared against Duke: Votto (.625/.667/.938), Rolen (.438/.444/.750), Hernandez (.571/.625/.571)

Votto looked slow at the plate in the Florida series, a night off in the rain is not the worst idea I ever heard, nor giving Rolen a breather either.

Too early to get worked up, frankly. And some of these guys do need at-bats.

It may get rained out in any event.

This has to be because I posted the other day that I don't get worked up over the lineups any more. Sorry guys, my fault.

I was looking forward to sitting down, relaxing, and watching the game tonight. Guess I will start to look forward to tomorrow night. I know lineup complaining can get out of hand but thats absurd.

If they play this thing, I call Miggy Cairo going 3-5 with a HR and 4 RBIs.

The only problem I have is Cairo so high.

    Stubbs
    Cabrera
    Phillips
    Gomes
    Bruce
    Hanigan
    Janiah
    Cairo
Domo Arigato, Here Comes Joey Votto

Plus, Bruce has a career .591 OPS vs LHPs.

Apparently Votto's back is hurting and he is ill, and Rolen is also ill. Both might be able to PH, but that's why they aren't in the lineup.

Still doesn't explain Cairo batting 5th.

Toss up between Hanigan, Janish, Cairo and Bruce vs a lefty.
