I don't think Alonso the OFer went well. The Reds publicly have ruled him out as a LF option. They'll extend Votto and trade Yonder this offseason. No sense in displaying the ugliness that must be his OF play in one of the biggest outfields this side of Yosemite.

Well. I guess we're left with Gomes then. Until Bruce gets back. Then Heisey to LF.

Are we complaining about the Gomes who knocked a couple out last week, then banged a couple off the wall Friday and Saturday? Or are we complaining about the one who was in a prolonged slump like many a slugger, a slump that may have passed?

Granted, it's only 5 games, but 0-3 vs Dodgers @ Chavez Ravine 2 years ago and 0-2 here @ Coors Field.

I have a good feeling that tonight ends that streak and starts a positive one! Go Rojos!
I wish my girlfriend used your wife's logic. Every time she shows up to my house, I lose all patience. She should just stay away and hope for the greater good.

I don't know why but I was thinking the Milwaukee series last week was there.Thanks.

People seem to be in a hurry to trade Alonso--and I don't blame them--but he has options and is a good insurance policy in the event that Votto becomes injured.

I'd try and drive my car across the river to see if it was a boat, but I'm fairly sure how it would turn out so I'll pass.

In this analogy the cars name is "Miggy"
