    Bats / Bulls - 2010 AAA Playoffs - Game 1

    First pitch - 6:05

    Sappelt CF
    Cozart SS
    Dorn 1B
    Frazier LF
    Henry RF
    Costanzo DH
    Mesoraco C
    Eymann 3B
    Negron 2B

    Reineke P

I'm a little surprised Michael Griffin didn't get a start here over Eymann.

That's six of the nine spots in the lineup occupied by guys who spent a major portion of the season in Carolina (which, of course, didn't do so well).

Missing: Alonso, Francisco, Valaika, Miller. Plus, Balentien is injured.

Then the missing pitchers (counting only the ones who were in Louisville for most of the season): Chapman, Wood, LeCure, Maloney, Fisher.

The price of being in a pennant race. It's a good thing.

Bats up 4 -1 headed into the bottom of the third after scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the second.

    mace,

Probably better for another thread, but I've noticed our guys have done pretty well at Louisville...and there have been quite a few move up. It raises some questions in my mind.

Frazier walks, Henry singles and Costanzo with a three-run johnson! No doubter to right! 7-2 good guys still batting in the sixth!

Costanzo would not have been my first guess at a guy who would deliver a big blow tonight.

He's batting in front of Mes and stealing all his glory!

The Bulls with a 2-run HR to make it 7-4 middle of seven.

The Bats have eight hits at this point, every one of them from 2010 Mudcats: Sappelt 3, Henry 2, Costanzo 2, Negron 1.

Herrera rolls a DP to get out of the eighth. Three outs from a 1st game victory.

Henry keeps the Mudcat party going with a double. Henry may never play for the Reds, but he's played some good baseball for the farm system.

Mes singles to left to score another run. Guess he still counts toward the Mudcat count? Two RBI for Devin
