Davis came to Carolina two or three series this year. I remember him talking to Skeeter (Henry) in the clubhouse for at least 10 minutes, it was funny.

But usually rovers/corrdinators wear their Reds BP unis in the dugout. Sometimes though, they dress out in the team uniforms (Mudcats/Bats, ect)

where in this season are the Reds without what Gomes has Provided ?

The following is the Bulls report to the area media. The one glaring ommission here is the word, Mudcats. The Bulls and the Mudcats organizations have had their differences in this area over the years and the Bulls are not fond of recognizing another team in the triangle area. Any responsible report would have acknowleged the contributrions of the former Mudcat players. I would have been surprised if they had done that though.

Bulls drop game one 8-4 at Louisville
    Share By Durham Bulls

(Louisville, KY) Leslie Anderson homered and drove in three runs, but it was Louisville that took game one of the best-of-five playoff series on Wednesday night, 8-4.

Durham started quickly as Joe Dillon walked to start the second against Chad Reineke (1-0), moved to second on a groundout, and came home on Nevin Ashley's two-out single to right-center.

Louisville answered though with a big inning against Richard De Los Santos, who set a Bulls Triple-A record with 14 regular-season wins. Todd Frazier walked to start the frame, and singles followed from Sean Henry and Mike Costanzo to tie the game at one. Devin Mesoraco hit a sac fly to make it 2-1. After Eric Eymann beat out a potential inning-ending double-play ball, Kris Negron looped a ball to right and it got past Fernando Perez for a triple that made it 3-1. Dave Sappelt doubled to left, scoring Negron to make it 4-1.

De Los Santos settled down to throw a scoreless third, fourth and fifth. Durham got within 4-2 on an Anderson single in the fourth. However, De Los Santos tired in the sixth. He walked Frazier, Henry singled to right, and Mike Costanzo homered for a 7-2 advantage.

Anderson belted a two-run homer to right the next inning before Louisville added a two-out run on a Mesoraco single. The Bats collected 10 hits, all from players who were not with Louisville when the Bulls last met that club in early July.

Durham was held to six hits by three Louisville pitchers. In addition to Anderson's two hits, J.J. Furmaniak had a pair of singles, while Dillon scored three times.

Durham is down 1-0 in an opening round series for the first time since 2003. That year the Bulls won six straight game to close a second straight championship season.

The Bulls will rely on RHP Aneury Rodriguez to even the series at 1-1. He'll be opposed by lefty Tom Cochran. Coverage on 620 the Buzz begins at 5:50, with first pitch at 6:05.

Thanks for the recap, everyone. The minor league section has become my favorite part of Redszone. You guy do a fantastic job covering the minor league affiliates.
